Founder Mahira has struggled with infertility for the last 10 years of her life. During the research, she became alarmed to discover that EDCs (endocrine disrupting chemicals) and microplastic are in everything, our cleaners, oceans, soil and even our drinking water. In 2012, WHO cautioned the world that EDCs are likely to cause cancer and infertility.
The cleaning products we are using are the same our parents have used and even there's before them, believing them to be safe and regulated but the reality is that we are constantly ingesting and pumping plastic into our ocean.
Realizing the frightening link between cleaning products and health, Mahira founded Spruce to create a cleaner and safer cleaning experience for everyone which does no harm to your body, or the health of our beautiful planet.
Sustainability and reducing plastic is now such a huge part of our lives as we try to recover the damage we have done to our planet.
