The Experience

The classic One Day group course will allow you access to a class, with a maximum of four people in any given class, while the private One-to-One is for you to learn from a master potter (although you may bring a spectator with you also).

Each course includes:

  • Clay Preparation
  • Centering the clay
  • Throwing cylinders (with the aim of producing forms of even thickness)
  • Developing basic forms
  • Wiring pots off the wheel

Participants will also receive a printed mug with animal illustration at the end of the course.

Allow us to introduce you to... Dimbleby Ceramics

Dimbleby Ceramics are husband and wife team Mathew and Rachel who have combined their design talents to create beautiful ceramic gifts. Mathew is the potter and Rachel covers the surface pattern and ties the ribbons.

The pottery heritage of Stoke-on-Trent is very important for Mathew and Rachel and they are proud to produce their giftware from their Stoke-on-Trent studio using locally sourced materials and traditional techniques.
